David speaking After many years working for The Daily Mirror in London and a brief spell running a free house pub on the Welsh borders, David and family moved to the South in 1988.

David decided to become a professional Toastmaster in 1988, and after passing all the necessary examinations, became a member of Britain's top toastmaster organisation, the National Association of Toastmasters, in 1991, The NAT has currently around 60 working members in the UK.

David has over the years worked at many venues, mostly south of the Midlands some listed on these pages and is ideally placed to travel East, West or North. He has officiated at hundreds of functions over the years including weddings, masonic ladies' festivals, rotary & round table dinners, charity dinners, corporate dinners, award presentations, many conference dinners at the Bournemouth International Centre, as well as Brighton & Torquay conference centres, sporting dinners political dinners and receptions for both the Labour and Conservative parties, opening ceremonies and civic occasions.
